Yiyi Yin is a PhD candidate at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW), under the supervision of Prof. Rona Chandrawati. Her research focuses on the design and fabrication of polydiacetylene (PDA)-based colorimetric sensors with tunable thermochromic properties for temperature monitoring applications. She is particularly interested in integrating PDA materials into water-based inkjet printing systems to create printable low-temperature sensors for cold-chain management and smart packaging. Her work combines polymer chemistry, materials characterization, and functional ink formulation to develop cost-effective and scalable sensing platforms.
