Saurabh Dubey is a Ph.D. scholar currently pursuing his doctoral research in the Centre for Nanotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, working under the supervision of Prof. Dipankar Bandyopadhyay and Dr. Omkar S. Deshmukh, distinguished professors at IIT Guwahati. His academic journey commenced with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from BIET Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India, which he completed in 2020. Subsequently, he pursued a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Guwahati, India, graduating in 2022. During his master’s studies, he delved into the fascinating realms of Micro-Nanofluidics and Microfabrication. Saurabh’s master’s project, titled “Hydrodynamic Instability of Confined Bilayer over Porous Medium under Thermal influence,” showcased his prowess in modeling and simulating multiphase flow. His focus was on studying the behavioral changes of polymer layer in the presence of porous media bounded by hot water, exploring various instabilities such as Rayleigh-Taylor, Kelvin–Helmholtz, Marangoni instability and capillary instabilities. He actively engages in research in the field of Micro- and Nano-Plastic Pollution. His doctoral dissertation revolves around the critical theme of Micro-Nano Plastic Pollution: Origin, Detection, Mitigation, and Health Consequences. He has been honored with the prestigious Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF). He aspires to work on practical problems related to the spread of micro- and nano-plastics in society.
