Dr. Jayraj’s research focuses on developing substrate- free, ultrathin epidermal electronic tattoos for real- time monitoring of plant health. These devices are applied directly to leaf surfaces to detect biotic and abiotic stress signals using electrochemical techniques. By integrating materials science, bioelectronics, and plant physiology, his interdisciplinary approach advances precision agriculture and plant- based biosensing technologies. He has published more than 50 research papers, which have collectively received over 2,300 citations in the fields of advanced materials and wearable electronics.
