Wang Han is a researcher in Microelectronics Engineering at The University of Western Australia, expected to graduate in September 2025. His doctoral research focuses on developing high-performance photodetectors based on bismuth chalcogenide semiconductors, including materials such as Bi2Te3, Bi2Se3, Bi2S3, and Bi2O2Se. He specializes in the synthesis and characterization of low-dimensional nanostructures and their applications in visible to near-infrared detection and imaging systems.

Wang has published 21 SCI journal articles, with 6 as first author, accumulating over 613 citations and an h-index of 13. His research expertise encompasses semiconductor device fabrication, interface engineering, and advanced characterization techniques including SEM, TEM, AFM, and FIB. His future research aims to integrate bismuth chalcogenide semiconductors with avalanche photodiode technology for next-generation LiDAR systems in autonomous vehicles and robotics. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from UWA .
