Tanish Gupta is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at RMIT University, Melbourne. His research focuses on two-dimensional (2D) materials, particularly molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂), for next-generation electronic and optoelectronic applications. His work investigates the fundamental relationship between material defects, optical properties, and device performance. Before commencing his PhD, Tanish completed his Master’s degree in Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His broader research interests include chemical vapor deposition (CVD) growth of 2D materials, advanced spectroscopic characterization techniques, and device engineering for optoelectronic and semiconductor technologies.
