Dr Dorna Esrafilzadeh is a Scientia Senior Lecturer and ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. Her multidisciplinary research spans material chemistry, nanotechnology, and advanced fabrication, leading to applications in bioelectronics, device/material interfaces, and sustainable energy. Dr Esrafilzadeh completed her PhD in 2014, followed by appointments as a Vice-Chancellor’s post-doctoral fellow at RMIT (2017–2020), Scientia fellow at UNSW (2020–2027), and ARC DECRA fellow (2024–2027). She received the UNSW Dean of Engineering Excellence Award in Research and has published in prestigious outlets such as Nature Electronics and Nature Communications with over 5100 citations. She has successfully supervised over 10 HDR graduates, including 8 PhDs and received multiple highly competitive national and international funding.
