Dr. Kai Xiao is an associate professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, China. Kai Xiao received his bachelor’s degree from Jilin University (Changchun, China) in 2012, and his PhD from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS, China) in 2017. After that, he moved to the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (MPIKG, Germany) working as an Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Fellow. From 2021, he works as an Associate Professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech, China), and leads a research group of “Neuromorphic Perception and Computing”. He has authored over 70 academic papers published in peer-reviewed journals and two book chapters, with citations of over 5700 and H-index 42. His research interest lies in nanofluidic, ionic soft materials, and neuromorphic devices.
