A School of Environmental Sciences PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle, Sofia is researching ways to capture, store and utilize CO2 through highly porous materials (particularly MOFs), amino acids and electrochemistry. Her aim is to create effective and feasible approach and materials for use in industrial applications to eliminate CO2 emissions and achieve the net-zero goal.
